FC Volendam is interested in German goalkeeper Luca Unbehaun, who had an excellent season at FC Emmen. The 25-year-old Unbehaun was voted Player of the Year in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. He played 36 league matches for Emmen and is now set to leave the club as his contract has expired. Heerenveen has also expressed interest in Unbehaun, with sport journalist Niels Dijkhuizen revealing that the club has inquired about the free agent. Other clubs from Germany and Eastern Europe are also in the market for the goalkeeper, Dijkhuizen knows. Last week, it became clear that Heerenveen is working on a transfer of reserve goalkeeper Andries Noppert, which could explain why technical manager Johan Hansma is looking for an additional goalkeeper.
