FC Volendam lost the Eredivisie spot after a penalty shootout against Willem II. The Tilburgers won 4-5 after penalty kicks. The match ended 1-2 in regular time. FC Volendam had the lead from the first match undone by Siegert Baartmans, but Finn Stam scored for Willem II. The home team took the lead and created a best chance via Juninho Bacuna in the 30th minute. A 20-meter shot was narrowly saved by Thomas Didillon-Hödl.
