FC Volendam won 2-0 against Den Bosch on Saturday 13 September 2026 thanks to goals from Henk Veerman and Reuven Niemeijer. The home side took control after halftime and steadily built on their lead.

Veerman opened the scoring in the 53rd minute following an assist from Kayden Wolff, who had replaced Alex Plat shortly before. Niemeijer doubled the advantage in the 64th minute from a swift counterattack, with Den Bosch’s defence caught out of position.

Manager E. Van de Looi lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with H. Jurjus in goal and a front three of Plat, Niemeijer and A. Plat behind striker Veerman. After the break, Wolff, Amevor, Payne and Ihler were introduced for tactical refreshment.

FC Volendam had 52% possession and created 16 chances, nine of which were on target. Den Bosch remained threatening with fifteen shots but only three on target, while the home goalkeeper made three saves.

With this victory, FC Volendam rise to six points from five matches and sit fifteenth in the Eerste Divisie, twelve points behind leaders Heracles. Recent form shows an inconsistent pattern with two defeats in the last five games.

The next challenge arrives on 6 December 2026 when FC Volendam travel to NAC Breda, currently twelfth in the league table. The squad can be viewed on our squad page, while the full fixture list is available on fixtures.
