Veerman nets another wonder goal in Volendam victory

Henk Veerman opened the scoring with an overhead kick in the 2-0 win over Den Bosch, his eighth goal of the season, reinforcing FC Volendam's strong start to the campaign.

FC Volendam secured a 2-0 victory over FC Den Bosch in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie on Sunday.

Regillio Simons's side kept a clean sheet in the second half and Reuven Niemeijer added the second goal in the 64th minute. The first half at the Kras Stadion remained goalless despite a missed opportunity from Den Bosch's Devon De Corte. Goalkeeper Pepijn van de Merbel kept a clean sheet.

"Watch! Henk Veerman impresses with another wonder goal," the goalscorer said afterwards. The win followed a 4-1 defeat to Jong AZ and moves Volendam to nine points from seven games, placing them 12th in the league table. The full standings are available here.
